ABOUT REBECCA
Rebecca was one of Gail's very dedicated and hard-working students. Tragically, Rebecca passed away from a heart disorder at the age of 15.
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
To honor her memory, Gail, together with Rebecca’s mother, began awarding scholarships to deserving students to help them continue their riding education. We are pleased to continue a tradition started by Gail Thompson when she ran Swift Creek School of Equitation. Today we are offering an annual educational scholarship to a member of CVSJA between the ages of 15 and 21.
Each year members interested in receiving the scholarship must fill out an application. Applications will be reviewed and voted on by the board and scholarships will be awarded based on merit and fundraising success of the organization each year.

ALIA FAGERBURG MEMORIAL HORSE PARTNERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP
ABOUT ALIA
Horses were Alia’s first love and the bond she shared with her horse partners is their greatest memory. Alia’s family recognizes that horsemanship and the relationships we have with horses is very special. They want to encourage and support other young riders to seek these special bonds.
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
This scholarship is offered to junior CVSJA members 21 years and younger, by the Fagerburg and Grimes family in honor of Alia.
If you want to be considered for this scholarship you must submit an original essay describing what horse partnerships, you have or had and what they mean to you. Essays should be approximately 500 words and will be judged and awarded by Alia’s family.
Please send an email to CVSJASHOWS@gmail.com, include your Name, Age, Name of Horse, and an email address at the top of your submission.

OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT CVSJA
GENERAL FUND DOANTIONS
Has CVSJA made a positive impact on you? If you are interested in supporting the organization, we accept donations to the general fund. This fund goes towards everything needed to run a successful horse show including but not limited to jump maintenance, prizes, and prize money. (DONATE LINK COMING SOON)
SUBMIT TRIBUTE TAGS
CVSJA is participating in Tribute Equine Nutrition Program. For every proof of purchase we send them, they will give us $0.25. Simply cut the proof off each bag and bring them to us at the horse shows or mail to Kim Anderson at 1541 Manakin Road, Manakin Sabot, VA 23103. These funds can greatly improve quality of our shows and fund our scholarship account.
